Thematisch spannt sich in der vorliegenden Festschrift ein Bogen um jene Bereiche, denen die Jubilarin Ingeborg Geyer sowohl als Forscherin wie auch als Leiterin des Instituts für Österreichische Dialekt- und Namenlexika der Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften besonderes Augenmerk schenkt. Im Fokus linguistischer, lexikografischer, onomastischer und (geo)informationstechnischer Analyse und Dokumentation, wie sie dieser Band repräsentiert, steht dabei stets der Dialekt - nicht zuletzt auch in seiner spezifischen Funktion im Rahmen von Sprachinsel-Kontaktsituationen.

This Festschrift covers the range of different topics which have been of particular interest to its dedicatee, Ingeborg Geyer, both as a researcher and as head of the Institute for Austrian Dialect and Onomastic Dictionaries at the Austrian Academy of Sciences. The focus of the linguistic, lexicographical, onomastic and (geo-)information technological analysis and documentation represented in this volume is always dialect - not least its specific function in the context of contact between linguistic enclaves.
